Founded in 2023 by Malica Williams, ALW C.A.R.E.S continues a family legacy of service that spans generations in Florida. Named after Malica’s daughters—Amani, Alysha, and Amaya—the organization embodies the spirit of compassion and community service instilled by her grandfather, Havert L. Fenn, a former educator and commissioner, and her grandmother Dorothy Bowe, the first Black nurse in Indian River County.
